No! No! to GM Brinjal Or any other crop. I appose the BT.
I came to know that GM food is not good for human so it should not come in India. Moreover if western countries are banning such food then why it is being encouraged in India. We should learn by others experience also. Each and every experience we should not take.
I would like to have reliable information on the effects of genetically modified food on humans/ecology. What could be a reliable source of such information?, I am not sure. May be I should search the internet more rigorously?. I am open to listen if anyone has some pointers.
What about the doubt that giant pesticides-manufacturers sponsor propaganda against GM crops because they generally happen to be more pest-resistant? . Hell,I am at sea.
NO NO to GM food Please. Let nature do it’s own work. I don’t understand how the things that are banned in western countries are sold in India?

All this site says is “genetic contamination”. well gene changes can be Good or Bad.
You are just provoking people to take a decision without thinking.
And that is what the Indian population has gotten used to, not just in the bt brinjal case but in almost every field of life.
If you are taking an initiative, please take it responsibly.
Secondly, I have mailed the Honorable Minister Mr. Jairam asking him to first come out with scientific facts before any of the meetings.
This will save the ruckus and pseudo-protest that’s gonna happen.
Lets see if he uses the media to actually reveal the details of bt. brinjal to the general public consisting even those who don’t have access to the internet to say it out.
If he doesn’t, then we’ll have another yell-and-burn parade which will be no more than a 5 minute ‘exclusive’ scoop for the media.

It is good to have more scientific facts about BT brinjal. But why do we need another one when we have so many verieties of Brinjals of our own land? Why are we inviting multinationals(they are invading) to intrduce a new breed at all? There are plenty of examples of multinationals earning money using our national resources.
Today we have 100s of our own varieties of Brinjal, which can grow under extreve conditions(I think this is one area some one can give examles of..). This reason should be enough not to allow the BT brinjal..

Simply against BT brinjals and Genetically Modified crops in general. Just visit people in villages and those in cities, particularly of elderly ages. You will soon realize the difference between Natural and `Un-natural’ (or Anti-natural) foods! Let the city people be at least what they are now, and don’t weaken them anymore…
