Nestle Response to Greenpeace

Thanks to your pressure, Nestle has written to Greenpeace. But in its response, the company has said it is open to selling GE food because they feel Indian consumers might actually want to eat these.

It’s time to tell them what you really want. Fill out the poll below. It’ll take less than 60 seconds of your time, but it could stop Nestle from selling genetically-contaminated food in this country.

I support the Greenpeace initiative of GE-free food for India. MNC like Nestle cannot take the taste and preferences of Indians for granted considering the level of illeteracy in India and the resultant ignorance over the facts of GE food.

Greenpeace must highlight the windfall gains accruing to Nestle at the cost of the unsuspecting and gullible Indian public and also the possible dangers of consuming GE foods. The role of Judases in the government should also be exposed. It is a well known fact that without bribery no minister will deign to vouch for anything .

Firstly why should our govt give permission for companies like nestle to sell GM food in India. In this country if the govt functions for the people it should ban all the GM food production and import of the same and ask those companies to stop operating in India if violated. In India we Indians are not experimental guinea pigs. If govt wishes let all those people in the parliament be supplied with the food cooked / containing the GM food & DEFINITELY NOT TO THE PEOPLE OF INDIA.
