Tata can save the turtles

How to save endangered Olive Ridley Turtles in 12 simple steps

Greenpeace is not saving the turtles… you are! That’s because our campaign to stop the destructive port in Dhamra and protect the Ridleys is 100% crowdsourced. Which means you can pick and choose exactly how and when you want to apply pressure on the Tatas. Whatever you do, remember to tell us, and we’ll make sure your efforts are recognised on the official Greenpeace blog. But act now, because we have less than a year to stop the port!

    Hello, Mr Tata.

I’ve always imagined India as a place of beauty, a place of mystery and a place abundant with human and animal life. I was wrong.
India has changed, surcome to the violent grasp of humanity and all its vile traits. All I see now is a thick haze of pollution that covers the atmosphere of India. All I see now is a unatural glow of which shimmers the greed and disgust of humanity of India. Although, their is ONE way to partially redeem your already tarnished image. Save the Ridley Turtle.

By doing so, you not only save an entire spieces, but you gradually unlock the wild and beauty of india buy keeping it safe. India was once a wild and beautiful segment of land on our small earth. Some is still there, and please, oh please don’t ruin it for only yourself, but for everyone else.

    Yours faithfully, Luke.

You have a rare chance to be a hero of our time. The future of a SPECIES is in your hands and I really hope you understand the enormity of that responsibility. Everything is a part of a divine cycle of life and if you break a part of that precious chain, you start a reaction that we will NEVER be able to fix. Can you face your children knowing you were the reason for the demise of a vital link in the ecosysytem? Everything has it’s place, the turtles have every right for a place too! Be a hero and a creator of life!!! Breathe in the spirituality of yoiur country and learn from what it can teach you.

    Thank you,
    May God be with you,
    Jennifer

In September 2008, after heightened protests and nearly 100,000 dedicated Greenpeace cyberactivists calling on TATA to relocate the port, the TATAs agreed to a dialogue with those opposing the Dhamra port. In the ensuing negotiations, TATA agreed 'in principle' to an independent assessment, yet it continues to build the port, and with every passing day, the turtles' future looks dimmer… That's why Greenpeace and other groups are calling on TATA to immediately halt construction and commission an independent assessment.
